Art Brokerage: Chinese artist Su Xinping was born in 1960 in Jining, Inner Mongolia. From 1977 to 1979 he served in the army service. In 1983 Su Xinping graduated from Tianjin Institute of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting and Printmaking. He took instruction in the Painting Department at Inner Mongolia Teachers College in the Deptartment of Fine Arts. In 1989 he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA)in Beijing with a Masters Degree in Printmaking. In 1998 he had the Freeman Fellowship and Residency at the Vermont Studio Center in the USA. And in 1999 Su Xinping conducted workshops at Elam School of Fine Arts; Wanganui Polytechnic; Dunedin Polytechnic School of Fine Arts; School of Art Lithography and Lectured at Dunedin Public Art Gallery, New Zealand. He currently works as Deputy Professor and Deputy Head of the Deptartment of Printmaking at CAFA.
